Job Description:

Provides the Mother Standard of care to oncology patients across the adult and geriatric spectrum. The Gynecologic Oncologist will provide clinical care to our gynecologic oncology patients, working alongside a well-established, multidisciplinary team to determine individualized treatment plans.

Committed to excellence, innovation and quality patient care the team actively supports transitional and clinical research, education, and community outreach endeavors.  Coordinates a course of treatment for cancer patients with the rest of their oncology team, which can include nurses, advanced practice professionals, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, dietitians, radiologists, surgeons and pathologists. They prescribe various types of treatment, such as chemotherapy, medications and hormones.

Typical job duties include keeping records of patients' test results and physical examinations, writing prescriptions, providing specific cancer information to patients, monitoring treatment plans and improving patients' quality of life. Explain cancer development stages to patients discuss treatment options and assist in pain management. They care for patients throughout the entire course of cancer treatment, from diagnosis to recovery or death.

Job Details

  • Part Time elective Gyn Oncology (1-2 days per week)
  • Outpatient clinic visits, elective surgery for early and late stage disease with inpatient post op rounding
  • No OB services at this hospital nor an emergency room so little emergent care responsibilities except on the service’s own patients
